New Work

I spent today quilting several small projects.

The firstquilt is from my class with Liz Berg, which I have titled, with great originality, "Square Study."

The last quilt was inspired by an article in this month's "Cloth Paper Scissors" magazine. It started with a gessoed piece of muslin, with layers of silk, cotton, tissue paper and handmade paper glued to the surface with successive layers of gel medium.

Quilting it was interesting. Rather like quilting through pudding.

Comments

It may have been like quilting through pudding, but it's gorgeous. Connie

These are beautiful Heather. Very creative. I love your quilts. I got the last Cloth, Paper, Scissors mag.....but haven't had a chance to go through it all yet. I'll have to make a point to do that today.

I've never done quilting, but I know how to sew. And I love working with fabric and fibers in art.

Oops, I forgot to thank you for looking at my blog and leaving a nice comment. So thank you.

I'm getting ready to do a post now on Grunge Painted Fabric (muslin), which perhaps might interest you. This kind of painted fabric would look cool on a quilt.

Beautiful work! I love quilting, I don't do it, but I am fascinated by it. There is a show I watch every morning about quilting.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
You do great work.
