Tuning Fork #12 is pieced.  Now all I need to do is quilt it!

I am very happy with parts of this quilt.  I like the upper left section, I like those three slightly flat tuning forks on the top center, I like the way I used dark colors (burgundy, purple and navy) in the middle left.  The dark variations in color are much more subtle in person than in the photograph.  I am not so pleased with the bottom right corner.

Of course, things always look better quilted.  We'll see....

I'm linking this post to Nina-Marie's Off the Wall Friday, Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday and Richard and Tanya Quilts LAFF and Fiber Artists Journey.  Go see all the wonderful work there!

I like this, but have you tried to flip it so that the light bottom corner is upper left? just to see how it feels?

ohhhh this came great! I love how you play with the neutrals and scale. Can't wait to see how you're going to quilt it.

It looks great.
Can't wait to see whether you decide to flip it or integrate the light bottom corner with your quilting. Or something else..

I actually like the lower right corner. I feel like your eye is drawn from the upper left down as though the colorful tuning forks are a river going over a cliff and expanding as a waterfall with the light grey as froth when it hits the bottom. For me, the composition really works. Good luck on the quilting, the piecing is just beautiful.

I love your tuning fork series and this one is another beauty! Love the river of colorful forks and all the variations in scale and value.
If I don't like an area of my work, I can't rest until I fix it. What is it you don't like about the lower right corner? Is it the large light fork as others have commented on?
