At the Dallas Quilt Celebration

I had a fabulous day yesterday at the Dallas Quilt Celebration, the annual show put on by the Quilter's Guild of Dallas.  I had entered three quilts this year, Tuning Fork #12, String Theory and Resonance.  Last year, because of my own silly error, I missed the entry deadline, so this year I sent my entries in early.   And I'm glad I did!

I had heard on Facebook that I had won a ribbon.  But when I walked into the "Master Art Quilt" section, I realized that all three of my quilts had beautiful new ribbons hanging on them!
Tuning Fork #12 won 2nd place
Resonance won an Honorable Mention
String Theory also won an HM
I had gone with Rhonda to see the show.  And it was a great day.  Not only did I win the awards, I saw many friends -- not only from North Texas, but some good friends from Houston and Austin as well.  And I found some lovely black and gray muddly print batiks that will go very nicely in the next Tuning Fork quilt I am planning in my head.  I loved every minute of it!
