Tuning Fork #24 is finished!

I've decided I like the vertical orientation.
Tuning Fork #24, 41" x 53"
And a close-up.  So you can see it is actually quilted.
Tuning Fork #24, detail
Rhonda, Kay and I drove to Dallas yesterday to see an exhibition by a fellow DAFA member, Brenda McKinney.  First, we went to lunch a "LUCK" (which stands for Local Urban Craft Kitchen) in Trinity Groves.  Within sight of the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge, just west of downtown Dallas.

In Texas, we do things BIG.  Here I am, being the "I" in Big:
Brenda's work was on display at Gallery 422 at the Workroom, a lovely gallery and shop across the street from Trinity Groves.  The show as called "What's Your Mantra," and the mixed media/paper pieces were very interesting.  If you live near Dallas, it is well worth seeing.  But get there quickly -- it closes this weekend.
This morning, I finally got back into the studio.  I'm making a start on Tuning Fork #25.  I've always liked the number 25....

I'm linking this post to Nina-Marie's Off the Wall Friday, Richard and Tanya's Quilts Link a Finish FridayFriday Fabric FrenzyConfessions of a Fiber Addict and Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday.  Go see all the wonderful work there!

24 is another winner! I like the little bits of gray print that you included and as always, your corduroy quilting is wonderful. What colors are you going to next?
This piece is great....as all of yours are, however this one in particular truly vibrates....your placement of color, size, and value all work so well.

The movement in your quilt is amazing. It looks like light reflecting off moving water.

I like the horizontal! I prefer abstract work to relate to something in my eyes, and this is sky or water.
Hope to see you at the QA gathering in Houston, where you'll no doubt be wearing a prize winning ribbon!! LeeAnna at not afraid of color

Love this quilt! It is so evocative of how a chord fades away and shimmers...excellent hugs, Julierose

As always, another stunning play with piecing, scale, colour an value. The darker blue section really zings.

Thanks, everyone!

Norma, my next piece is very pale. Not much color at all.
I love this one. Like others, I see watery reflections when I look at it.
