I just mailed my.....

2014 SAQA benefit auction quilt!
Tuning Fork #18, 12" x 12", 2014
For more information about the auction, which starts in September, visit the SAQA website.

I am getting ready for a class at the Crow Timber Frame Barn, packing and trying to think about what kind of work I want to do while I'm there.  Unlike other classes I've taken at the Barn, this is a Master Composition class with Nancy, and we will work on our current series under her watchful eye.  I have to admit this is making me a little nervous.

Part of getting ready to go means getting my International Quilt Festival (for "Quilts, a World of Beauty," the juried show) entries in a little early.  Early because I always wait until very close to the deadline to submit my work.  I've entered three quilts this year, Tuning Forks #13, 19 and 20.  I won't know if any of them were accepted until mid-July.  As I put the envelope in the mail, I could feel both a sense of profound relief (I got them in on time) and a knot in my stomach (are they good enough?). So now the waiting begins.

I'm linking this post to Nina-Marie's Off the Wall Friday, Richard and Tanya's Quilts Link a Finish FridayFriday Fabric FrenzyConfessions of a Fiber Addict and Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday.  Go see all the wonderful work there!

I keep being amazed at how many variations you have been making from one idea. It would be fun to see them all lined up in one show.

Enjoy your time at the Crow Timber Barn. Looking forward to hearing about it.
