2014 SAQA benefit auction quilt!
Tuning Fork #18, 12" x 12", 2014 |
I am getting ready for a class at the Crow Timber Frame Barn, packing and trying to think about what kind of work I want to do while I'm there. Unlike other classes I've taken at the Barn, this is a Master Composition class with Nancy, and we will work on our current series under her watchful eye. I have to admit this is making me a little nervous.
Part of getting ready to go means getting my International Quilt Festival (for "Quilts, a World of Beauty," the juried show) entries in a little early. Early because I always wait until very close to the deadline to submit my work. I've entered three quilts this year, Tuning Forks #13, 19 and 20. I won't know if any of them were accepted until mid-July. As I put the envelope in the mail, I could feel both a sense of profound relief (I got them in on time) and a knot in my stomach (are they good enough?). So now the waiting begins.
I'm linking this post to Nina-Marie's Off the Wall Friday, Richard and Tanya's Quilts Link a Finish Friday, Friday Fabric Frenzy, Confessions of a Fiber Addict and Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday. Go see all the wonderful work there!
