The SAQA Benefit Auction is an annual event I am proud to participate in. This year four hundred forty 12" x 12" mini masterpieces will be available for bidding. This REVERSE auction (bidding starts high then drops through the week) is in three groups for three weeks. My donation this year - "Shock Melt #2" - is in Group 2.
Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc (which we refer to as SAQA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt through education, exhibitions, professional development, documentation, and publications. Founded in 1989, it now has over 3,400 members.
The money raised through the benefit auction will help SAQA continue to send our wonderful exhibitions all over the world.
