My Fiber Arts group took a dyeing class from Joy Press on Monday. My first batch of fabrics is out of the dryer and I love them! The first piece is cotton dyed with chartreuse, turquoise and sun yellow MX reactive dyes. The second is cotton sateen twisted and dyed with the colors of the rainbow. The third is also sateen, accordion folded and dyed with orange. The last, and I dyed several just like this, is cotton scrunched into the bottom of a container and dyed with chartreuse. I intend to batik over the chartreuse pieces.My second batch of dyed fabrics are in the washer. So hopefully, more pictures tomorrow!
