Which Way is Up?

I've been looking at the quilt in the previous post, and I'm thinking that I like this orientation better:

What do you think?

I like this orientation (portrait) best. The dark patches seem less noticeable this way. The other way looks somehow wonkier than this one.

I agree with Mary Ann, the dark patches have the most contrast and weight so they are eye magnets. Looks good in any direction, but this is my favorite.

I like this orientation the best. The dark patches give your eye a place to rest in this orientation without detracting from the rest of the quilt.

I like this orientation best, as well. I agree with you about the quilt looking weighted at the bottom now, and I think that's a good thing--gives it a kind of stability.
