May is a wonderful month in North Texas. Everything is very green and fresh, and my roses and perennials are covered with blooms. I spend a little time each morning walking around the garden, sipping coffee and pulling up the occasional weed. It's a lovely time of year!
Of course, I often have my camera with me as well. Here are a few pictures from this morning.
A pale yellow lily:
A fuchsia lily:
Two lilies, a pot and my metal saguaro (which I love and my husband tolerates):
My favorite echinacea, sunset:
A standing cypress:
Our oakleaf acanthus:
It's hard to believe that in two months, things will be less lush and green. In fact, quite the opposite -- brown and dry. At least I'll have these pictures to remember my garden by!
