Yesterday the premiere meeting of the SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) North Texas Circle was held at the home of Barbara Oliver Hartman. 10 quilt artists were in attendance. Laurie Brainerd, one of the two SAQA Texas reps, drove up from San Antonio to provide structure and guidance for our first meeting.
It was decided that we would meet 6 times per year in members' homes. The group will focus on critique and technical and business information.
I have a great deal to learn from my fellow artists, and I am excited about being a member of the circle. And I hope to be able to contribute as well.
