I've been spending the last week getting ready to go to International Quilt Festival in Houston, October 31 - November 4 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. I have two compelling reasons to go this year:
1. I'm one of the Texas SAQA Regional Reps. A big part of our job each year is to work at the SAQA booth located on the Exhibits side of the convention center. Two SAQA exhibitions are premiering at the International Quilt Festival in Houston: A Sense of Scale and Seasonal Palette, and our booth will be located right in front of them. We'll also be hosting a 12" x 12" art quilt auction.
I have been spending a lot of time lately signing up volunteers to work in the booth with us. The schedule is almost full!
2. Tuning Fork #6 was accepted into "Hands All Around" at IQF this year. Whoo hoo!
