Progress Report

No finished quilts this week, but a lot of progress nonetheless.  I had three wonderful days in the studio, nothing but a bit of laundry to distract me from my work, and the weather outside too cold and damp to tempt me to try a bit of gardening.  Perfect!

Ruins #2 was started at the TVQG retreat in January.  I wasn't happy with it, so I added the bottom bit.  And, in fact, it is my favorite bit.  I love the high contrast and love some of the figures I created.

Ruins #2, approx 32" x 46"
So my design wall was now clear.  Time to start another tuning fork!
Tuning Fork 12
Very early going, of course, but I think I like the direction it's taking.  Maybe......

Spring hasn't arrived here yet either. So work gets done in the studio.

Your work is looking good.

ohhhh I'm jealous that you had your days - I only had one! I really do love where these are going - its interesting to me that you work on two at the same time!

I think the dark red/white part at the bottom gives it a great sense of weight. I also really like the rasberry/mustard color combination. Pulls you in!

Nice to be able to focus on your art project without distractions! I love your stick piecing!
The tuning forks are amazing. I wonder how someone just wakes up in the morning and says, hey, I think I'll do tuning forks!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. It was like I woke up yesterday and said, Hey, those blocks need to go in a baby quilt! LOL
