Tuning Fork #11 won 1st place in Art-Abstract, Large in Houston!

I just got home from International Quilt Festival in Houston.  I'm simultaneously exhausted and exhilarated.  I was thrilled just to get two quilts juried into the "big" quilt show, but I am over the moon about winning first place with TF #11!
I of course had to pose with it!
I will write more about my adventures in Houston when I've had time to process the experience. What a wonderful week!

Congratulations! What a great honor!
Congratulations! It is indeed an honor to get a quilt in that big show but to win is a very big bonus. I love this quilt and am glad the judges did too!
heather, how great, yay!!!

Heather, you look adorable standing beside your quilt! And the quilt is to borrow the words of a teacher we know--an absolute knock out. Congrats to a very deserving artist.

Congratulations, Heather! I knew that quilt is a winner even if it didn't get a prize. If it hadn't, I would've really questioned the judges! I'm jumping with joy for you!

I knew that you were going to win. I love that quilt, as I've told you before. I was looking froward to meeting you in Houston and was sorry to have missed you
Norma, third place in your category.
