Back in the Studio!

It's been a long time since I've spent any time in my studio.  Between family obligations, gift quilts (which just needed quilting and binding), travel and the holidays, I've been too busy to create anything new since mid November.  So, even though we still have a house guest, I snuck into the studio several times this week and managed to complete a little quilt top.

Little being the operative word.  I needed to make a small quilt for the SAQA "This is a Quilt" exhibit. The finished size of the quilt will be 10" x 7".  It's currently 12" x 9", and I'll have to trim it after quilting.
Tuning Fork #14, 2013
My father in law leaves next week.  Perhaps I can snatch a few hours before he leaves to quilt it.....

I'm linking this post to Nina-Marie's Off the Wall Friday.  Check out all of the quilt art there!

I know you have to, but how can you bear to trim it?!

Hi, Heather. Love your use of grays that make the bits of yellow dance. I especially liked your wonky log cabin in the previous post--so cool!
best, nadia

LeeAnna, it's going to be tough! I'm hoping it shrinks a lot with quilting -- I will quilt it pretty densely. And I have just enough time to make another for SAQA if I cannot bear trimming it! I'm enjoying seeing how small I can go with the tuning fork blocks!

I hope we get to see your finished quilt with that dense quilting. I'm still in awe of your tuning fork series.
