Independence Day, Texas Style!

The annual Berkeley Place neighborhood 4th of July parade was, as always, a wonderful event.  It traditionally starts on the corner in front of our house, so we decorated our house and yard to show that we were in the spirit.
The parade featured the Greater Fairmount Marching Band (retired).  They led the parade playing patriotic tunes in their flatbed trailer.
 Lady Liberty was a highlight.
Vintage cars, decorated for the holiday, brought up the rear.
It was a beautiful morning.  Not too hot, which is wonderful considering July in North Texas can be brutal.  All in all, a wonderful 4th!
