I've had a very busy week. Not a lot of it spent in the studio, but very busy nonetheless. All of the usual post vacation things -- laundry, grocery shopping, gardening, cleaning, spending time with poor neglected Boomer...And then I had some art related tasks to do as well. I am heading to Ohio to take a class with Terry Jarrard-Dimond later this month, so I had to gather the supplies and get them in the mail. And I spent a great deal of time working on the SAQA International Quilt Festival volunteer schedule. Before we left for the Cape I put out a call for volunteers. This week I sifted through the responses and assigned time slots. The response was great, and there are only a few time slots left. If you are interested in volunteering, e-mail me and I'll let you know what's available.
I did manage to start a new project. Tuning Fork #24 is in the preliminary stages.
It's very gray so far. Needs some color...
The best thing to happen this week was my acceptance letter from the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, New York. Tuning Fork #11 is going to be on display in "Quilts=Art=Quilts", which opens November 1st and runs until January 4th.
I'm very excited to be included in this show!
I've linked this post to Nina-Marie's "Off the Wall Friday" and "Can I Get a Whoop Whoop?" Go see all the beautiful work posted there!
