TF 24 in progress....and opinions needed

Last Friday, I started a new piece.  It is, at the moment, 30" x 50".  Going well, I think.

When I took a picture this evening, as I do at the end of every workday, I rotated the picture and I really think I like it better this way.

Any opinions?

I've linked this post to Nina-Marie's "Off the Wall Friday" and "Can I Get a Whoop Whoop?" Go see all the beautiful work posted there!

Yes, I like both of them very much, but the vertical a little more. Something mysterious about it. Or maybe it's just the unexpected change in orientation. . .

I think vertically as well. I wish I had a concrete answer as to why…? Maybe because it looks more like an abstract landscape horizontally and not tuning forks.
Yup.....I vote for #2 orientation. GREAT colors....great piece....can't wait to see it completed.

Well, I have an opinion and I like the 2nd version, because it seems like water. And it's in your series but different. You take a picture at the end of every sewing day? LeeAnna at not afraid of color

I like the first one best but I am not sure why. Really cool quilt either way!

I like the blue on the horizontal. This one really is luminescent.

I love the blue horizontal. There is a sense of balance that is missing in the first view, as well as a flow from top to bottom. I agree, luminscent :)

I like the vertical one too.

I like the second, horizontal look best also. Would you consider adding some blue down in the very dark part of the quilt (maybe even having a random vertical group of tuning forks there)? I love the quilt, but somehow want to see a little more life in the bottom, and something surprising?
just a thought- I'm a big fan, just throwing out a different view.
