I am very excited to be a part of the exhibit at the Museum of Geometric and MADI Art (familiarly called the MADI).  It is an honor to have been invited to participate!

The exhibit is curated by Ruth Anderson.  It features the work of a number of local (Dallas-Fort Worth area) quilters: Carolyn Skei, Cheryl Isbell, Sherrie Tootle, Carol Morrissey, Sue Benner, Barbara Hartman, Kerri Green, Linda G. Bartley, Tonya Littmann, and me.  It is a very impressive group of quilts, showing a variety of styles, all very geometric.

I have two pieces in the show.  Descending into Chaos was pieced at the very beginning of the Coronavirus crisis, and it's jagged forms echo my anxiety and uncertainty.  Effervescence was finished in January of 2020, pre-shutdown, and the quilt is much happier, almost exuberant.

The exhibit opens this evening, October 23, and will run through January 24, 2021.  I hope you get a chance to see it!
